Trust Law

Trusts are a common means of asset ownership.  However, trusts as well as providing for flexible asset ownership or asset protection, can also provide remedies when the use or ownership of a particular asset is under question.

The pages under this heading provide a useful trust law resource written in simple language, with further references for those who want to drill a little deeper.

Importantly, most trust law has developed from the common (or judge made law) rather than legislation.  This means that much of what we know and understand about trusts has been developed over centuries of use and consideration of trusts.
