Vicki Ammundsen writes extensively in the area of trusts and trustees.
Current publications available include:
- The Trustee’s Handbook (ed 4). This book is a must-have for trustees, trust advisers and anyone involved with administering trusts. This fourth edition includes more than 120 precedent minutes and resolutions — all reproduced on an accompanying CD. The precedents reflect the sorts of decisions that trustees most often make and matters that trustees need to take into consideration.
- Taxation of Trusts (ed 3). Note that ed 4 will be published in 2016
- Trustee liability – what every trustee needs to know. This book is a practical, up-to-date guide that every trustee and potential trustee should read. The realities of being a trustee are discussed and concise commentary on each topic alerts the reader to the risks associated with trustees’ duties and obligations. Examples drawn from real-life situations are then used to illustrate the issues in a straightforward question and answer format. The book also outlines strategies and practical steps that trustees can take to protect themselves against liability. See review in the Review – Law Talk 9 Oct 2015.
